Mr Espen Lim has been providing A Level Physics and Mathematics tuition for more than 20 years. He has tutored many students and helped them achieve better grades in their A Level examination. 96% of those students achieved A’s and B’s in their GCE A-level Physics and Mathematics examination. He has tutored students from Raffles Institution, National Junior College, Hwa Chong Institution, Victoria Junior College, Anglo-Chinese Junior College and others.
Espen’s teaching methodology adopts an exam orientated style and this helps students exponentially improve their skills and confidence in the subject within the shortest possible time. He is a specialist in tutoring Physics and Maths and has mastered the art of breaking down complex concepts to help students understand them with ease. Many of Mr Espen’s students found his lessons so effective that most of his Physics students joined Maths eventually and Maths students who take Physics signed up for his Maths lessons.
Unlike some other tuition providers where the tutors only lecture and go through examples, Mr Espen’s classes allow his students to interact and ask questions any time during his lessons. He also quizzes his students while teaching to ensure his students follow the lesson. If students have questions from school, they can ask via WhatsApp.
Espen believes all students have different learning ability and are receptive to different teaching styles depending on their individual preferences. Instead of “forcing” students to adapt to the tutor’s teaching approach, Espen customizes his teaching methodology for each student. Backed by his 20 years of teaching experience, he has sharpened his ability to quickly determine the best learning method for each student and use the optimal method to teach his students. His students will see significant improvements in just 2 to 3 months of group tuition with him. For individual tuition lessons, results can be seen as fast as just 1 month. Espen conducts group tuition of not more than 10 students per class. Summary notes are also provided to help students reinforce their learning.
During school term, each topic will be covered in detail over two lessons. Around 2 to 3 weeks before the examination, there will be revision lessons on the topics that will be tested. Towards the end of each tuition class, time will be allocated to each student for consultation. Students are encouraged to bring their own questions that they have difficulty with. Given how Espen is able to make complex concepts simple and easy to understand, many of Mr Espen’s students say they learn more in the two hours of weekly tuition than what they learnt in the whole week at school!

Fees
Fees are as follow (Note: Once your registration has been acknowledged, the fees will be locked in and not increase for the year):
JC1 1st Jan – 31st Dec intake: $400
JC2 1st Jan – 30th Jun intake $440
JC2 1st July – 30th Sept intake $480
Payment of fees will be done at the start of every 4 lessons. Each lesson will be 2 hours.
Private home tuition – Fees range from $185-$220/hr depending on level and location. Lessons can be conducted at Kembangan, Beauty World, or at the student’s home. Online option is available.
There will be a one time registration fee of $50 payable before the first lesson (this will be waived for current sign-ups). This will be used to cover the cost of all materials provided during the entire period of study with us.
We are flexible in our payment options and accept cash, bank transfer, cheque, or PayLah/PayNow. Unfortunately no credit card payments at this point.
